A powerful new play, fresh from its Off-Broadway run. Inspired by a Holocaust history teacher, who actually experienced the school shooting tragedy, in Parkland, Florida in 2018. ShPIeL is honored to have the following panelists to shed more light on the subject.
Michelle Kholos Brooks is an award-winning playwright with productions staged internationally. Awards and distinctions include the Susan Glaspell Award for H*TLER’S TASTERS and the Riva Shiner Comedy Award for KALAMAZOO. ROOM 1214 was a finalist for The Ashland New Plays Festival. (pictured left)
Trent Spoolstra is the Community Relations Council Director for the Jewish Community of Louisville. He helps oversee public relations on behalf of the Jewish community by making key connections with a wide variety of communities to advance Jewish values in the areas of education, advocacy, and coalition building. Dr. Judith Danovitch is Professor of Psychology at UofL, a 1996 graduate of Stoneman Douglas high school, and co-director of the MSD alumni association. (pictured right)
